Sister Margaret McBride of Phoenix, Arizona’s St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a hotly debated figure lately after being excommunicated for allowing an abortion at the hospital. In Catholicism, this is an open-and-shut case of “SHE’S PURE EVIL AND GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL!” but, as with most things involving the Church and morality, there’s a lot of hypocrisy behind the big talk and bumper-sticker buzzwords. The woman was a mother of four suffering from pulmonary hypertension, which would have killed her and the baby if she carried it to term. Explain to me who’s pro-life again?
