But I’ll bite and answer your question anyway: I fail to see a conservative plan that succeeds in fixing the very same problem. In fact, we followed a conservative plan over the last eight years. In just two terms, a GOP administration spent every last dollar we had (Bush came into a surplus, mind you) and sent us spiraling into a record deficit. If you cared enough to read around the site a bit more, you’d find that I am very much behind the “less spending, more personal responsibility” claim of the GOP…I just have yet to see this claim in action. Go look up what Mr. Bush spent our money on and tell me that you wouldn’t have bashed a liberal president for misspending as freely as he did.

The reason that no one can answer your question directly is because it is riddled with logical fallacies. You are basing your question on the assumption that a liberal administration has specifically claimed that spending more and collecting less taxes is the way society should be run. I’m not a fan of the bailouts either, but McCain was right there with Obama, claiming that they were completely necessary. To label overspending or misspending as “liberal” is disingenuous and misleading, and you know it.

And I would point out that though a lot of people on the right came away looking like idiots, and rightly so, let’s not forget the majority of the people behind the surge in Diggs and Reddit votes were probably liberals, who more than willing to become the equivalent of a Limbot passing along one of HIS arguments, because they thought it might piss off the right. In other words, I think you pointed out a human tendency more than a right wing one.
