Recently, in the city of brotherly love, there has been some stir about a man who has clearly been getting treated with kid gloves because of his relationship to members of the police department. His father, and apparently a few uncles/cousins are Philly cops – and this fact has not only excused him from blatant crimes, but also lead to charges against his victim.
Long story short, toolbag Gregory Cujdik pounded on the door to a house demanding to see the woman inside. When the guy inside (Brian Westberry) with her said he was going to call the police, his response was, “Do it. My family are cops.” – showing his (correct) assumption that nothing would happen because of who he knows/is related to. When Westberry went to call the cops, Greg here barges in, and punches him in the throat. In response, Westberry brandishes the gun he had brought down with him when he heard the banging on the door. Tough-guy Greg then runs off.
So, what happens in Philly when a cop’s kid forces his way into your house and punches you in the throat? Naturally, you get hit with the following charges: felony aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Eventually, the assault charge was dropped, which was apparently filed for *pointing* the gun at the man who forced his way into his home.
Soon after, Westberry’s house mysteriously caught fire. Greg is now a prime suspect in the arson investigation. And this… is who the Philly police department is attempting to protect.
