New Left Media has done it again with another excellent video exposing the Tea Party protesters (winner of our 2010 Worst Muckmaker Award) for what they are – clueless, uninformed ignoramuses. If you haven’t seen their Tea Party videos before, here’s the gist: Chase Whiteside, the interviewer, lets Average Joe protester go off on some “socialism/communism/fascism/baby killer/death panel” tirade and make a complete fool out of himself. Then he goes ahead and starts asking (extremely) simple questions about what and why they’re protesting…none of which they seem to be able to answer. Then he hits them with some facts that anyone who’s done even a shred of research would know; that’s when you watch the heads explode. This particular protest was held in D.C. on March 16, which, fittingly, was the same day that the Barnum & Bailey Circus was in town. (The unwashed masses smelled worse, I’m sure.) As the elephants (ironically symbolic of the Republican Party they’re astroturfing for) march by the shouting, sign-waving automatons, you really have to sit back and applaud the right wing for brainwashing these idiots so well that they don’t even realize that we’d sooner take the circus clowns seriously than we would Glenn Beck’s blackboard scribblings. Watch and laugh (or cry)…
We all admit (even those working on it) that this bill’s not perfect, but I still don’t see what’s so wrong with this…
The proposal will expand health care access to over 30 million uninsured Americans, make health care more affordable for everyone, hold insurance companies more accountable, end discrimination against Americans with pre-existing conditions, and help stabilize our budget and economy by reducing the deficit by over $100 billion in the next ten years.
